Welcome to Khotso (Did you know Khotso means peace)?

Khotso has been offering horse riding in the Southern Drakensberg for well over a decade and making this most incredible activity accessible to all intrepid travellers visiting this beautiful mountain range. The largest horse trails specialist in the area, we see ourselves as the perfect basecamp both to explore and to unwind.

Founded and run by wild adventurer Steve Black, it’s no surprise that Khotso retains its crazy & welcoming attitude. We are the only operator running regular and bespoke multi-day cross-border horseback expeditions into the untouched wilds of Lesotho and we offer a range of unique accommodation.

BACKPACKERS

Our backpackers has various rooms such as doubles, dorm rooms, etc and has a shared kitchen and two separate toilet with showers for your convenience.

LOG CABIN

Our log cabin is ideal for your family groups as this also has its own self catering large kitchen and braai areas and separate bedroom areas that can be rented as a whole or as a shared usage depending on the numbers.

RONDAWELS

Three (3) private double bedrooms with 3 - 4 additional single beds in the loft area of each Rondawel are available for your convenience. 

 NEW TENTED CAMP AREA

Now includes ablutions as well as new outside bar area catering to your needs although all guests are welcome to use the backpackers facilities which also includes showers, toilets, a shared kitchen area and bar for your convenience.
